ITS-Branch

Overview

ITS-Branch is a front-office application suite for retail banking - primarily a data entry, retrieval, and presentation system that interfaces to a variety of legacy host systems and other middleware products. ITS-Branch server may be centrally located at a data center or located in individual bank branches. A client contacts the bank through one of the three channels, each of which is driven by the ITS-Branch client application. The bank representative will use the appropriate ITS-Branch functionality to provide an increased level of clientservice, accuracy of process and an improved sales culture focused on the role assigned. Originally designed for the DNA architecture, ITS-Branch has evolved into a Smart Client design utilizing a Services Oriented .NET-based architecture both between the client and the business tier and also internally within the client.

Benefits

The high-level benefits of using the complete ITS-Branch include:

  • Extending functionality into many channels. This is where the greater value of the Branch Automation Module is realized by financial institutions. Among the benefits of a single multi-channel integrated solution:
    • The ability to work with the same information for all client facing employees, avoiding any discrepancies that might arise from inconsistent solutions
    • Clent’s perceived value that you have their financial interest at heart because no matter where they contact you, the employees know what their current status is and do not require them to explain the same situation over and over again
    • Cross application training is easier because the flow and ergonomics of the applications are the same. A teller moving into the platform or call center organizations can easily maneuver through the application because of the familiarity already established from their experience with the teller application
  • Maintaining the client-facing environment will become less costly because a single administration control station manages the entire enterprise. Employee application access, rate changes, product descriptions, bond tables  and much more are all controlled from a single point and affect all applications simultaneously
  • The reusability of transactions across channels limits future development efforts and maximizes existing investments.
  • There are reduced points of integration as integration with third party applications is centralized at ITS for all channels.

Account Opening & Servicing

Clent Visit

All activities conducted with a clientare done within the framework of a client visit. In order to open new accounts, service existing accounts or review a client’s profile information, a visit is utilized.

 

A client Visit is typically defined as the time spent with a client, or related client (such as a family, or business partners), during a visit to the financial institution. However, it could also involve the time spent on a telephone call with a client, or the time spent handling a client’s mail correspondence. The client visit allows ITS-Branch to track client contact with the bank. This information is used for reporting and follow-up activities.

 

The visit is started automatically when a Client Profile is recalled or created; however, a visit can also be started before this process in order to track the time spent during sales activities. In this case, the operator utilizes the Start Visit menu selection.


Client Profile

The client Profile is used to collect and display client related data. The client Profile information includes a single host interface that will allow for the retrieval and saving of client information. In addition, it can be used to establish a Profile for a new client . The client Profile includes up to six single screen displays of host data for the client. Examples of the type of data collected include client information  account information, employment information, and miscellaneous demographics.


Delivery

Account Opening and Servicing facilitates the completion of the sales process in Delivery. Items are placed in Delivery via the Express Delivery function. The Delivery functions include:

  • Account Open – actual host update for opening an account
  • Referral – utilizing Microsoft Outlook Task to send a referral to the appropriate area for action
  • Reminder – utilizing Microsoft Outlook Task
