Enterprise Timetabler [ET]: New Timetabling software, web deployed from Portal, new User Interface, new functions.

Enterprise Course Planner [ECP]: New Course Planning software, interested in the actual planning of courses and the delivery.

Enterprise Reference Data Manager [ERDM]: New tool for dealing with the reference data – e.g. locations, staff, time constraints etc.

Enterprise Report Manager [ERM]: Authorisation based reporting tool allowing only certain users to access certain reports and tools.

Student Allocator [SA]: Enables a student to make allocation choices and move activities to make a better choice dependent on a number of factors. These choices are controlled by rules set up in Allocator, so only valid choices can be made.

Portal : The Web pages used to control deployment of Enterprise applications, all users log onto the portal to then download the software to their machines.

Web Room Booking [WRB]: Web based software to enable booking of rooms.

Web Data Collector [WDC]: Web based timetable data collection tool, used for collecting the timetable requirements.

Exam Scheduler [ES]: Specifically deals with Exam timetabling, short periods of available time ensuring students are not overloaded.

Enterprise Timetable Calendar Service [ETCS]: Tool linked to the reporting database that enables staff timetables to be displayed in calendars, such as Outlook and Google.

Syllabus Plus Timetabler: Basic Timetabling software, based on room bookings rather than course planning.

Syllabus Plus Course planner: Core Course Planner software, used to define the delivery of courses to booking.

Scientia Database [SDB]: The core database software enables multiple people to use the timetabling software. All applications connect to this database to share data.

Scientia Web Server [SWS]: Enables web display of current timetable information. Talks to the SDB to enable live view of current timetable data, comes with an SWS Generator for the creation of custom selection screens.

Reporting Database [RDB]: Special reporting database, set up to be better for reporting against than the standard SDB.

Web Grid Requester [WGR]: Web based reporting tool to generate PDF files using templates created in Report Designer.

Authorisation Manager [AM] : Tool used to set up access to the Enterprise applications, defining what people can and cannot do within the Enterprise world.

Staff Workload Planner [SWP]: Application to cope with staff work outside the normal timetabling activities. It deals with preparation,meetings, exams …etc.

Course Scheduler [CS]: Deals with repeating courses over large time frames.  Specifically for training courses that repeat a number of times customers including  Airlines, Fire Services and military training establishments

COM: Microsoft technology allowing ability to program against the core Scientia software and build add-ons. Same technology used to link Excel and Word, number of other applications built on this foundation

OLE-DB: Ability to query the core software like a database, enables quicker access to the data within an image than normal COM

Syllabus Plus Data Adaptor [SPDA]: Tool built on COM to enable the transfer of data to and from 3rd party systems.

Banner Link: Specific link tool for transferring data to and from the Sungard Banner student record system.

Room Audit Tool [RAT]: Access Database that enables users to collect information on how rooms have been used over a week and compares this information with planned usage within S+. From this data they can produce a number of different reports.

Find Available Room Tool [FARA]: Access Database that takes an activity with a room requirement and looks for free rooms that the activity can be split between, for it to then be scheduled in more than one room.

Configurable Exam Link Tool In COM [CELTIC]: SPDA equivalent for Exam Scheduler enables transfer of data from databases to Exam Scheduler.

SURAS: Room utilisation reports, populated with data from S+ into a different database and then a number of reports run from this data.

Grid Report Designer: Report designer tool for generating PDF versions of timetables.

Warship Upkeep [WUPS]: Tool for scheduling ship upkeep for military.

Rolling SWS Timetables: Special report from SWS that allows for Rolling Display of timetables for rooms.
